Green Eyes

Jane (not her real name) gave me permission to share her story. Jane was on her way to Sams. She is alone in her car. She had taken her two children home after she felt “They just didn’t need to go with her today”. She’s on a four lane road with a 55 mph speed limit. Jane is in the curb lane. She sees a Lincoln Navigator coming toward her in the curb lane across the way. It swerves off the road, hits a mail box, and then jumps back on to the road and crosses all four lanes. It’s a head-on collision with both cars going 55 mph. The Navigator holds 3 children plus the driver. None of the children are in car seats or belted in. One child is ejected from the car. No one dies. There are no broken bones. The child that is ejected is found sitting on the curb crying. Jane is pinned in her car. She feels herself wanting to fading out. Suddenly she notices a woman dressed in white, standing next to her car. The woman has large green eyes and is holding Jane’s hand. The woman gently repeats “Stay with me, don’t leave me.” She stayed until emergency vehicles arrived. Finally freed from the car and in the ambulance, Jane asks the Trooper if she can talk to the lady in white. Jane is told, “There was no lady in white at the scene”. At the hospital, Jane repeats her story. She is advised trauma caused her to hallucinate. It’s been a year, and Jane has not repeated her story. She doesn’t want her friends to think she’s crazy. She is crying as she shares it with me. Doug on Angels - They are real and Jane got to have one hold her hand. . Moral – Just because “they” can’t explain it does not mean it didn’t happen to you. |
