Hello All: Thoughts about opportunities we have during this time of C-19 crazy. Enjoy, Doug
Bloom “In season or out of season, bloom whenever possible,” Elaine says during our morning walk in the middle of October as she sees a crab apple tree bare of leaves and still putting on a few new blooms. I’m stopped in mid stride and tell her that is the opening for my next story. During this season of Covid, when personal blooming seems almost impossible, it’s good to remember it’s not the problems we encounter, but how we handle those troubles that defines our character. Which causes me to consider what kind of personal blooms I want to produce, and this caused me to pull out a statement I wrote years ago called “I Am Convinced”. I signed it, made copies and sent one to each of our children. After all these years I am still convinced, and so I now share with you how I desire to bloom in this season of crazy. “I am convinced that to live the way Jesus taught - Being generous, Forgiving and not carrying bitterness, Having compassion for others, Pursuing peace in every situation, Being honest with all people, and Listening to the wisdom of others - is the better way. “ Moral: Considering how you desire to bloom personally during this season can be helpful. |
